About us
AI can write your resume. We make sure you can explain it.
Why we built ExplainMyResume
Many job seekers now use AI to write their resumes — and then struggle when an interviewer asks them to explain a project, a tool or a number on it. Most resume tools stop at the document. We wanted one free place to make a resume that passes applicant-tracking systems and to practise defending every line of it.
What you can do here
- A free ATS score out of 100, with the exact fixes ranked by how many points each one costs you.
- “Fix with AI” rewrites weak bullets — it never invents numbers; it leaves [X%] placeholders for you to fill in.
- Interview questions generated from your own projects, skills and claims, with an honest score and a model answer.
- Answer in English, Hindi, Odia, Telugu, Kannada or Tamil — feedback comes in your language.
- Eight ATS-friendly templates and PDF / Word downloads.
How we work
Honest scores
The ATS score is rule-based: the same resume always gets the same score, and every point is explained.
No made-up content
AI suggestions keep your real facts. Anything we can't know is left as a placeholder for you.
Your data stays yours
We never sell your data. Uploads you don't sign up for are deleted within 48 hours, and you can delete your account at any time.
Free while in beta
Everything is free during the beta. No card or UPI needed.
Who we are
ExplainMyResume is an independent product built and run by Arjit Rout in India. It is in its beta (MVP) release, and we improve it every week based on feedback from job seekers.
